Green fingers hard at work in our Classroom in the Sun!

5th May 2022

The children have been discovering a new lease of life in our school garden, The Classroom in the Sun with all the various plants, shrubs, and saplings welcomed into the garden over the last number of weeks. The children are assigned the watering of their fruit trees and take great care in reminding teacher to bring them for a visit to the garden a couple of times a week!

Our wonderful Creative Schools project, The Classroom in the Sun, would not be progressing so well without the help of our wonderful parents and local community members along with our chief groundskeeper and caretaker, Kevin Delahan. It is with HUGE THANKS to parents Debbie Disney and Jackie Wilson and Carmel from Liscarne Community Centre for supporting our collaborative project The Classroom in the Sun, led by artist Clodagh Emoe and horticulturist Joan Power.
