Summer is here!

30th Jun 2026

It's hard to believe, but the Summer holidays have arrived!

We had an action-packed end to the school year with loads of fun activities in June. We made the most of the sunny days that we had, learning about shadows in Science, and pretending to be working at the ice-cream van during thematic play.

Active week took place during the month, including Sports Day - a huge well done to all the boys and girls who made an amazing effort all week to get involved in all of the fun games and sports we had going on.

We also had Wellbeing Week, where the students learned about to take care of themselves and help others to do so too! A highlight for that week was the Teddy Bear picnic that we had in the Classroom in the Sun. We've also had a few visits over the month from 1st class who did some paired reading and paired colouring with the class.

Over the last week, as we wound down and got ready for our well-earned break, we made the most of the weather outside with our new climbing wall and the primary school staple - the parachute! We even finally got our big jigsaw puzzle finished with just enough time to admire it for the last day!

Well done to all the boys and girls on an excellent first year in big school - it's been an absolute pleasure getting to know you all and watch you find your place in the school community! A huge thank you to all of the family members at home who have helped make this year successful. Have a lovely summer!
