November
12th Jan 2026
Ms.Harper's Junior Infants had a great November, we were learning all about homes. In playtime we had lots of fun at the building site where we learnt lots about the role of builders as well as different types of tools and jobs they have to do. We had great fun listening to the story of the three little pigs and talking about the different types of homes that the pigs built. We were learning all about length in maths where we did lots of work on longer/shorter, we had to find things that were longer/shorter than our pieces of string. We also read 'The very hungry caterpillar', we noticed the caterpillar got longer and longer throughout the story, we then got to make caterpillars using clay and we compared the length of our different caterpillars. It was science week in November, we were learning all about magnets. We explored materials that magnets are/aren't attracted to, we look at the affect magnets have on compasses, we made iron fillings and a car move using our magnets. We got to teach everybody all about what we learned in assembly.
