Colour Run: Friday March 6th

27th Feb 2026

Hi all,

Here are some of our photos from today's run in Collinstown Park before next Friday's big event!

We put a big emphasis on getting out and active over the past 6 weeks of school to promote the children's health and well-being during the dark, cold winter months.

All classes have been taking part in the Daily Mile, the girls got to meet International Runner Cheryl Nolan and 40 children in the First Classes have been taking part in a lunchtime Athletics Club.

As a reward for the children's efforts, we will be hosting a Colour Run in Collinstown Park on Friday, 6th March at 1pm. The children will run around a small loop of the park and we will have paint to spray and throw on the children as they run! It is guaranteed to be a great event with lots of fun, running, music and colour, so all families are invited to come and watch! To ensure children from the Special Classes are included, families are more than welcome to accompany their child around the race route to ensure maximum enjoyment.

We would encourage all children to wear old, colourful clothes on the day. The paint we are using is safe and certified and is said to have minimal risk of staining. With that being said, the children should wear clothes that they are happy to get covered in this paint.
