A great start to the year for Junior Infants!

29th Nov 2025

The Junior Infants have been busy learning lots and having fun during the start of their first year in big school!

In maths, we've been doing lots of work on colours, shapes, patterns and sorting.

We've also been working hard to learn our sounds and letters, as well as learning lots of lovely songs and nursery rhymes both in English and as Gaeilge (you may have heard some being sang at home!)

And, of course, there's been plenty of art and creativity - to date, our favourite lessons have been making rainy paint "puddles" and wellies and drawing while lying down, like Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel!

With Winter here and Christmas just around the corner, there's plenty of fun activities to come in the next few weeks!
